After her departure from UK television talent show group Hear'say in 2002, Kym launched a solo career with two top 10 singles "Cry" and "Come on Over". The next release "Sentimental" was less succesful, although the accompanying album "Standing Tall" reached the top 10 in the UK album charts. She subsequently entered into a well-documented celebrity marriage with actor Jack Ryder. Kim is gradually moving from the pop biz into acting... she is currently (2006) featuring as Michelle, a barmaid in the long-running UK TV soap "Coronation Street".
